Living on Long Island is great. Long Island is the ideal suburban life and it offers families a wonderful place to live. Not only are you only an easy one hour commute from New York City, there are beaches all across Long Island, and even a vacation spot at the end of the Island in Montauk. The majority of the 125 school districts on Long Island have excellent reputations, and there are over 10 different college campuses on the Island as well. A life on Long Island is very comfortable.
