What Richard Overton Wrote Down

History is told about a man called Richard Overton who was born in the year 1625. At the age of twenty one years, he joined other three men to form a political party. This party had a number of policies that in some way was giving people a lot of privilege to enjoy some human rights.

He did writings on pamphlets criticizing the type of ruling done with the monarch who demanded for his arrest. After he was jailed, he went on to write more articles from the jail perspective. He was later released but did not stop writing. He actually merged with two other men to continue writing.

One year after this merger, the trio were arrested for many accusations derived from their writing. Two months later they were freed from the cells. He worked more on writing more pamphlets that revealed the religious and political slavery that existed in England. He did many other things with the intention of bringing down the ruling dynasty.

Other than the politicians, Richard Overton was a bid enemy of the Presbyterians. This started when he wrote down an article claiming that when one dies, both his soul and body dies. They are then resurrected during judgment day. The Presbyterians disagreed with this article. This man then started writing article to mock this religion.

An agreement of the people is one of the book he wrote as a proposed constitution. This led to a debate where he was invited but later walked out due to the fact that they could not agree. His anger for the England kings was so much that when his plan for an overthrow was revealed, he had to flee for his safety.

Richard Overton died before he was forty years old. There are no details about his school and family. However, he wrote many books that are read up to this day. richard overton
