While this was a low budget film, it did give him enough exposure to get a role in the new TV series, Bosom Buddies. This show was his turning point and showed his ability to do comedy in a very pleasing way. After a guest appearance on Happy Days, he was cast in the blockbuster hit, Splash, with Darryl Hannah. Then he went on to star in Bachelor Party.
Tom Hanks has ridden the rollercoaster of success, but he has seen many more successes than failures.
