The problem for most people who audition is to learn how to effectively audition for the series, so they don’t look like they are complete idiots. The very first thing you should do is choose the right song. This does not imply you need to run out and master a totally new style of singing. You need something that is comfortable for you, by an artist who you enjoy and appreciate, and a song style that you have the ability to perform effectively.
