You have a business and you are trying to generate leads. You implement your advertising campaign and you start getting results. Once you have sent out the requested literature, you have scheduled your contacts to receive another follow up in about seven days. This time the information is already flagged to pop up in a screen of leads to be followed again, and you read the rest of the stored information so that you know where to begin. The program has provided you with the necessary information.
This will need a follow up in about a month if the lead still does not become a customer. It sure is nice to have software that could automatically retrieve and display all of this for you, computers are really good at remembering.
Somewhere along the way there is going to be a time when you have to decide to archive a contact because they are not responding to the sales effort so you store them in the computer for staying on the mailing list.
