Photoshop Tutorials – Learn Photoshop Free on David Peters Blog

Everything you want to learn about Photoshop is grouped into sections that are easy to identify and access. Tutorials are continually being made simpler and clearer so that everyone is included. If however, you think that the tutorials are not enough there are DVD Rom tutorials that you can purchase and have to access anytime that you forget how to do something and need to refresh your memory. This DVDROM has 120mins (yup, 2 hours) of tutorials that will help you know how to use Photoshop even in your sleep. If you already have more than a basic knowledge of using Photoshop you can take a look at the Photoshop Secrets Special FX. It’s a tutorial CDROM with 19 lessons that are packed into 2 hours that will teach you exactly how to use the special cutting edge effects that the advance Photoshop users’ use.

Photoshop training is one of the best investments you can make in your professional career. Whatever field you’re working in, Photoshop training can help you reach your full potential. Anyone who works with digital images and graphics knows that the Adobe Photoshop line of software is the tool of choice for graphic designers and professional photographers around the world. The Photoshop interface hasn’t changed a great deal since the earliest versions, so users can easily upgrade to Photoshop CS2 from any previous version. Photoshop CS2 has powerful new features that will aid designers in all fields. You can literally use Photoshop CS2 to create any visual effect that you can image-if you can dream it, you can create it with Photoshop. Like previous versions of Photoshop, CS2 is available for both Macintosh and Windows. And the best thing about the new version is the price: Photoshop CS2 costs less than previous versions of Photoshop.

News photographers routinely process images using Adobe Photoshop software. But there has been a basic premise in the world of photojournalism that what was allowed in making prints in the pre-digital days of darkrooms is all that is acceptable today. Back in the days of the darkroom, we used very basic tools to develop prints. In black and white printing, the contrast of a picture was controlled by a paper’s grade. The higher the number of the paper, the higher the contrast. In the wire agency darkooms I’ve worked in, we typically used grades 3,4 and 5. We allowed “dodge and burn” to lighten or darken areas. A dodge tool was made by taping a small piece of cardboard the size of a quarter onto a paper clip. A burn tool was a piece of cardboard the size of an 810 sheet of paper with a hole in the center.

Go into your Image Adjustments menu and try using the automatic presets there: Auto Levels, Auto Contrast, Auto Color and/or Variations. This last option is especially fast and flexible, offering fine-tuning for shadows, mid tones and highlights as well as saturation. Click Image, then Levels in your top menu. You will see a Channel box on top with a pull-down arrow that exposes options for red, green or blue. You can affect the color cast of an image inside this level box by clicking on that color and moving the slider bars. Watch the image as you make the changes.

In photoshop there is an awesome tool called the spot healing tool. There are soemtimes the photos that you really don’t like because of an object that is in side the picture. What you can do is remove that thing and replace it with the background of the rest of the photo. It’s easy enough to do but does take some practice. You will easily click on or drag across the object that you dislike and it will be gone. Then the retouched area is combined with the background around it creating a flawless area where the object used to be. It’s that easy!

The Dodge tool can also be used to whiten the whites of the eyes, and, in general for anything you want to lighten. Used with discretion, it’s quite a handy tool. In Photoshop, there are always a number of methods to accomplish the same thing. Another way to whiten teeth would be the following: Select the teet with your Lasso tool icon, (second down on the left in your Tools). Then click on Image in your Menu, Adjustments, and Curves. Make sure the Channel box says RGB. Then, with your mouse, pick up the top right-hand corner of the box and drag the line over to the left. You will be able to watch the whitening process as you go. You can use the Curves tool to change color on any given selection, too.

Digital photographers use photoshop so much that sometimes they don’t realize that they could be doing something they didn’t think they could in photoshop. Adding Graphics to Videos. It’s a little known fact, but many domestic and professional nonlinear editing systems (especially the Mac based ones like Avid or Final Cut) enable you to import Photoshop .psd files directly into the timeline. Creating Text Effects for Print and Web. There’s an almost unlimited amount of things you can do with text in Photoshop. Use the Type Mask Tools to create picture filled text, then upload the results to your web page – or print them out for a one of a kind T-shirt.

Looking at IT Career Courses

Should you be looking for Microsoft certified training, it stands to reason you’ll want companies to provide a wide range of the finest training courses currently available. Maybe you’d choose to find advisors with experience of the IT industry, who can offer guidance on what sort of job would suit you, and what sort of tasks are suitable for someone with a personality like yours. When you’ve settled on the job you’d like to get into, an appropriate course has to be singled out that’s a match for your current skills and aptitude. This can be personally tailored for your needs.

Obviously, the computing market promises impressive prospects. Yet, to investigate it properly, what are the questions we should raise, and which are the sectors we need to investigate?

Beware of putting too much emphasis, like so many people do, on the training process. Your training isn’t about getting a plaque on your wall; this is about employment. You need to remain focused on where you want to go. It’s possible, for instance, to get a great deal of enjoyment from a year of study only to end up putting 20 long years into a tiresome job role, as an upshot of not doing some decent due-diligence at the outset. Set targets for earning potential and whether you’re an ambitious person or not. This will influence what particular exams will be expected and what industry will expect from you in return. Obtain help from an experienced industry professional that ‘gets’ the commercial realities of the area you’re interested in, and will be able to provide ‘A typical day in the life of’ synopsis of what duties you’ll be performing with each working day. It makes good sense to discover if this is the right course of action for you long before your course begins. There’s little point in beginning your training and then discover you’re on the wrong course.

Be watchful that any certifications you’re studying for will be recognised by employers and are the most recent versions. ‘In-house’ certificates are not normally useful in gaining employment. Unless the accreditation comes from a major player like Microsoft, Adobe, CompTIA or Cisco, then you’ll probably find it will have been a waste of time – because it won’t give an employer any directly-useable skills.

Training support for students is an absolute must – find a program offering 24×7 direct access to instructors, as not obtaining this level of support will severely impede your ability to learn. Locate training schools where you can access help at any time of day or night (no matter if it’s in the middle of the night on a weekend!) Ensure you get access directly to professional tutors and not simply some messaging service that means waiting for tutors to call you back – probably during office hours. The best training colleges utilise an online access 24 hours-a-day package pulling in several support offices over many time-zones. You’re offered a simple interface which seamlessly selects the best facility available irrespective of the time of day: Support when you need it. Never make the mistake of compromise where support is concerned. Many students who can’t get going properly, would have had a different experience if they’d got the right support package in the first place.

If you’re like many of the students we talk to then you probably enjoy fairly practical work – the ‘hands-on’ individual. Typically, the painful task of reading endless manuals would be considered as a last resort, but it doesn’t suit your way of doing things. You should use video and multimedia based materials if book-based learning really isn’t your style. Long-term memory is enhanced with an involvement of all our senses – this has been an accepted fact in expert circles for years now. The latest audio-visual interactive programs with demonstrations and practice sessions beat books hands-down. And you’ll find them fun and interesting. Every company that you look at should be able to show you a few examples of their training materials. You should hope for instructor-led videos and a variety of interactive modules. Pick disc based courseware (On CD or DVD) every time. Thus avoiding all the issues associated with internet connection failure and issues with signal quality.

Charging for exams upfront and presenting it as a guarantee for your exams is popular with many training course providers. However, let’s consider what’s really going on: Clearly it isn’t free – you’re still coughing up for it – it’s just been wrapped up in the price of the package. It’s well known in the industry that when trainees fund their relevant examinations, when they’re ready to take them and not before, they’ll be in a better position to get through on the first attempt – because they’ll be conscious of what they’ve paid and will therefore apply themselves appropriately. Don’t you think it’s more sensible to find the best exam deal or offer when you’re ready, rather than coughing up months or even a year or two in advance to the training course provider, and also to sit exams more locally – rather than possibly hours away from your area? Paying upfront for exam fees (which also includes interest if you’ve taken out a loan) is bad financial management. Resist being talked into filling the training company’s account with extra money of yours just to give them more interest! Some will be pinning their hopes on the fact that you will never make it to exams – then they’ll keep the extra money. In addition to this, many exam guarantees are worthless. The majority of companies won’t pay for re-takes until you’ve completely satisfied them that you’re ready this time. Average exam fees were about 112 pounds last year via Prometric or VUE centres around the United Kingdom. So why pay hundreds or thousands of pounds extra to have ‘Exam Guarantees’, when it’s obvious that the best guarantee is a regular, committed, study programme, with an accredited exam preparation system.

What is the reason why qualifications from colleges and universities are now falling behind more commercial qualifications? With the costs of academic degree’s becoming a tall order for many, plus the industry’s recognition that corporate based study is closer to the mark commercially, we have seen a large rise in CISCO, Adobe, Microsoft and CompTIA authorised training courses that supply key solutions to a student at a far reduced cost both money and time wise. In essence, students are simply taught the necessary specifics in depth. It’s not quite as straightforward as that, but the most important function is always to focus on the exact skills required (including a degree of required background) – without overdoing the detail in all sorts of other things (as universities often do). Imagine if you were an employer – and you wanted someone who could provide a specific set of skills. What is easier: Wade your way through a mass of different academic qualifications from hopeful applicants, having to ask what each has covered and what trade skills they’ve mastered, or choose a specific set of accreditations that perfectly fit your needs, and make your short-list from that. The interview is then more about the person and how they’ll fit in – rather than on the depth of their technical knowledge.

Discovering job security these days is very rare. Companies can throw us out of the workforce at the drop of a hat – as long as it fits their needs. Whereas a marketplace with high growth, where staff are in constant demand (due to a big shortfall of properly qualified staff), provides a market for proper job security. Taking the IT industry as an example, the most recent e-Skills investigation highlighted massive skills shortages throughout the United Kingdom around the 26 percent mark. Meaning that for each four job positions that exist in the computer industry, there are only 3 trained people to perform that task. Attaining proper commercial computer accreditation is accordingly a ‘Fast Track’ to realise a continuing as well as gratifying line of work. Because the IT sector is evolving at such a rate, could there honestly be a better market worth looking at for your new career.

Download Unlimited Games For Your PSP

The PSP is a fantastic little gaming system. It has become very popular over the few years it has been out. It can do more than play games – its a lot like a little computer.

You can actually download games from the Internet to your PSP, but it is hard to find a website that offers downloads for the games that you want. Here are some tips on how to download games onto your PSP.

The firmware for your PSP is like the operating system of the unit. You’ll have to learn how to change your PSP firmware most likely, to a version that will let downloaded games work on your PSP. Downloaded games worked on version 1 and 1.5 of the firmware pretty easily.

If you want to see your firmware version, go to the system information tab in the settings display. You will then be able to see your PSP firmware version.

Playing movies and music on your PSP is very simple in any circumstance – you just have to download them and make sure the files are PSP compatible. Most good PSP game download sites offer movie, music and software downloads as well as games.

You’ll also be able to download games for older systems like SNES and Gameboy in most cases. The sites will show you how to do everything including running emulators for these systems on your PSP.

There are lots of sites out there which offer PSP downloads, but you need to make sure you get a good one. A lot of the time you might be downloading games from their sites but adware and viruses might be coming to your computer with them.

There are some great sites that offer PSP downloads though – check out the video above for more information on my favorite. No viruses or adware, and every game for PSP you could ever want!

The Ultimate iPhone 3G With iPhone Extras and Apps

Everyone likes to be unique not only in their personalities, but in their possessions as well. When it comes to buying gadgets like the AppleiPhone they are all pretty much the same. What is different though is all the apple extras that can be added to it so you can personalize it. It then becomes unique because you have added your personal touch.

One favorite apple extra are the numerous wallpapers that you can choose from. You can just about get any design or theme that you can possibly think of. Of course there is a trend that is followed here as well. The most popular current wallpapers are those of famous people, closely followed by sports logos.

The iphones are not a cheap item and you want to preserve its finish as much as possible. Being as they are small, they are handled constantly and then put in a pocket or purse when not in use. Within a short time they become scratched. You can buy protectors which are called skins. These are like a very thin cover that protects the back of the iphone. Apple extras like this really help to preserve the item. They are really nice because of the large color selections that are available. You can even get them to coordinate with your wallpaper. They vary in prices, but sometimes you can find some great deals. Often people like to have several that they can choose from. In fact some people will match them to their clothing. These have become so popular that the iphones almost look bare without them.

At one time when people used to be waiting for a bus, a bus stand they would read the local paper to pass the time. Now everyone is playing games on their iphones with the new apple extras. The days of computer games just being for kids are long gone. Adults enjoy this category just as much as the kids do. This can be confirmed by the number of games that on the market geared towards the older teens and adults. Its no wonder that many schools won’t allow the iphones in the classroom. Its too difficult to keep the kids away from the games, and their minds on their studies.

When talking about all the exciting extras for the iphone the applications cannot be left out. Not everyone has the same requirements and that’s where these innovative applications become a real benefit. There are individuals who deal a great deal on ebay for example. They perhaps are involved in some of the auctions there and like to track them. This is simply done with the iphone software for ebay which is available. A real bonus is you can some free applications. There is probably something there that everyone can use.

All of these apple extras and more can be located at The iPhone DVD. Which makes it most convenient to be able to find all your needs it the one location. As we previously mentioned, iphones can be quite pricey. Then when you take a look at all the added extras, it may it worth the price. This is especially true when there are lots of applications that are free.
